Meet Anita

I am a Swiss and Australian National who has trained and worked in both hospitality education and the hospitality business for all of my working life. I have lived in Australia, Switzerland and Singapore. I have worked in high-end restaurants like Magill Estate and Bridgewater Mill. I was managing Haigh's Chocolate Store in Glenelg and Visitor Centre. In each of these places, I have learned more and more about my passion: Food!! I love cooking and in particular sustainable cooking. I am here to help you with ideas and advice so that you can get the most out of your pantry and fridge. That's why my business is called food builder! I am looking forward to working with you!

 "Omg! Had the delicious delight of raising up a bread storm at Anita Robin, The Foodbuilder with sourdough starter star, Em Smith, of Koru Cultures Fleurieu Peninsula Highly recommend. Anita is so knowledgeable!​ Well I guess being a pro Swiss chef will do that ;) She gently walked us through amazing doughs, how to prepare them and seamlessly turn them into bread, GERMAN BREAD, croissants and PRETZELS!! OMG PRETZELS did I mention pretzels.. And how to put some dough in the freezer so you can have bakery fresh bread when you want it. And I have the little book to replicate it at home. Oh and dough for tomorrow! Sooooo good!! AND we got to meet Anita's Dad Wally!! He made the walnut pie recipe!! And they have a BnB!"

Anita Robin, the foodbuilder, honors the rich heritage of over 2,000 generations of Aboriginal culture, the world's oldest living culture. We deeply respect all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders and their ongoing contributions to our society. We acknowledge that the land we inhabit, known as Australia, has always belonged to the Aboriginal people and will continue to do so. Our place of work is on the sacred lands of the Ngarrindjerri people, and we embrace its significance.
